A tanker truck vehicle accident occurred the morning of March 29th, 2019. The tanker truck was carrying gasoline and released approximately 1200 gallons into a roadside ditch that then flows into a culvert that leads to pond/reservoir/wetland. The pond is 90% covered with ice currently and product and sheen has been observed in that water body. The spill occur at approximately 06:31 PST. Idaho State Police is on scene and the current Incident Commander with support from Idaho Transportation Department, and Idaho Regional Response Team #2 out of Lewiston, ID. Representatives from the Trucking Company (Kantankrus) and their contractors are on scene and on their way to the scene to assist in the clean up and assessment of the extent of the contamination. OSC Stephen Ball deployed at approximately 11:30 PST to the spill location.
