On November 28, 2016, a significant sheen was observed on Krum Bay, St Thomas, USVI. The sheen extended to Water Island. WAPA assisted USCG in identifying the source. WAPA themselves identified the source as being their facility. USCG MSD St Thomas requested EPA's assistance in determining the extent of contamination in the subsurface.
