The property owner of the site reported the presence of elemental mercury in their cargo trailer and on the concrete pad that the trailer was parked on. The mercury was released when a barometer that was being moved broke.

Mercury was observed throughout the cargo trailer, ranging from the front of the trailer to the rear of the trailer with micro-beads being scattered throughout. Additionally, beads were observed on the concrete pad at the back of the trailer. A Lumex Mercury Vapor Analyzer (MVA) was used to conduct an assessment of mercury vapor in the air, with readings of 5000 to 6000 ng/m3 at 31 degrees Fahrenheit.
