The former Montrose Chemical Plant, located at 20201 Normandie Avenue, Los Angeles, California, is the site of a former pesticide manufacturing facility and is surrounded by other former and current industrial properties. Montrose manufactured dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) on the property from 1947 until the plant closed in 1982. The Montrose plant was demolished between in 1982 and in 1985 the property was graded and capped with asphalt. Historic stormwater flowed from the former Montrose Facility southward toward Operable Unit 6 which begins south of Torrance Boulevard.
