On October 11, 2006, the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) contacted the U.S.EPA and requested assistance with a mercury release at a residence in River Oaks, Tx. The home has currently been vacated and the U.S. EPA is assisting the Tarrant County Department of Health (TCDH) and the TDSHS in the site assessment. If elevated levels of mercury are found during the site assessment, the U.S. EPA will potentially conduct an emergency removal action.
